Coming full circle...
So, long story short I just happened to run into my sophmore year college roommate in October. We hadn't heard from each other in about 10 years and we meet out of the blue in a completely unrelated place. So this afternoon I'm babysitting her oldest daughter and the kids are sitting at the kiddie table eating snacks. It just suddenly floored me that I was watching our kids - OUR kids. The last time we saw each other we were practically kids ourselves. Once we turned the a/c all the way up so we had a good reason to light a fire in the fireplace that evening and make smores. We celebrated our 19th, 20th, and 21st birthdays together. Unbelievable how you can see 10 years flash before your eyes.

Is she military too? Or was it just REALLY random?
She married a military guy. From Kansas (after knowing her in FL) and of course DH switched to aviation and her husband was aviation. So it took some odd manuevering to bring us together. We met at a carnival on post.
Ahh yes. While I have not run into anyone here, I did happen to run into some people from high school (10 years ago) as well when I was in kansas in febuary. It is always nice for me to think back to that time. However, never would I watch any of my friends children. =p
