So, I've been wanting to redecorate the bedroom since I was pregnant with Sam and I'm finally getting there. I found the perfect comforter a few months ago to inspire the project. One of my biggest changes was painting our entire bedroom suite from an oak stain to an almost black look. While Brian's been gone, I decided to make it my goal to be finished by the time he got home. This required help from neighbors lugging furniture in and out of the house, numerous trips to the paint stores, and giving up my precious rest time during Sam's naps. And I did it! I'm saving the headboard for Brian, because it requires taking apart the bed and will need a little more effort. It's only one piece, right? I've sanded and painted two night stands, a chest of drawers, a vanity and mirror. And here are the before and after pictures.
Our bedroom from when we were trying to sell the old house. What was I thinking?
Our "temporary" bedroom, soon to be moved to a whole new locale, with painted walls and new accessories.
