My tribute to mothers

I've been so busy with getting ready to PCS that I did nothing for the mothers in my life this Mother's Day. After all the struggling I went through just to get to motherhood, Mother's Day is a special day for me as a reminder of my struggle and the happy ending I got. But on a daily basis, I think about mothers. Being one is one of the greatest challenges of my life and I learn from all the mothers around me, friends and family, in order to do a good job for my little man. And I have many amazing women to share motherhood with...
My sister-in-law, who works weekends so she can keep her son out of daycare.
My sister, who loves her stepson as her own and I have no doubt she is the best thing to ever happen to him.
My mother-in-law, who did such a good job I now have the best husband and father to my son that I could ever ask for. I don't have to remind him to call her on Mother's Day. Nuff said.
And of course my Mom, whose job is still not done. She swoops down on my household and takes care of everyone whenever I have another surgery, without complaint. She's my personal Florence Nightingale.
And I can't forget all my amazing friends who I have raised my son next to. Almost daily we're offering and taking advice, sharing meal ideas and treatments for boo-boos with each other. If anyone is worried about future generations, I can tell them to stop. With mothers like these in the world, everything will be just fine.

Thanks, Sweetheart! "Swoops down," huh? Well, I guess that pretty well describes it . . . .

Love you!

Mom
