Reunited and it feels so good...

Anyone else notice I have a problem with terrible titles? It's a sickness. I need help.
So Daddy came home on Sunday and it's been so great having him home (great until the stupid Army assigned him work to do while he's trying to clear post - now he's been gone all day long escorting a general when we have a huge to-do list before the packers get here on Tuesday morning).
I must say I love my husband. I love that he can come home from such a traumatic training situation and tell me all about it and trust me to handle it well. We make a good team. He had it rough and was pushed past his limits, but he held up really well and I'm proud of him. Goodness knows I would never have survived as long as he did. I'm a whiner. Sorry, USA, but I'd probably spill all the secrets I know as soon as they denied me coffee.
Meanwhile Sam is more than delighted to see his Daddy home. Every day he says "Daddy home!" and starts clapping. It comes randomly, often when we are eating Daddy's welcome home cake. Mmmm....
And imagine, he was only gone three weeks. Don't know how we handle a year!
Oddly enough we're finding ourselves extremely tired during this reunion and all we want to do is take naps. But alas, the kid makes that impossible. We can't wait for our vacation in Orlando! Child-free! Woohoo! Thank you Jeff and Jane!
So in trying to find things to keep the little guy busy we went to the park. Here are some pics ...

This morning I took him to get his hair cut at the PX. His father's request. We had decided to let it grow out and see if we could make it look cool, but when he came home he said he barely recognized him. He was so well behaved that I rewarded him with a slice of pizza the size of his head. And his hair cut makes him look like a cross between my Dad and his cousin Elijah. It's like a LTC's haircut or something. Never again will I take him to the PX.

Also, we closed on the house today, via mail anyway, and I got some great news. As poor as we are I had decided to splurge with some extra money and have some rooms painted before we even moved in. This house also needs a lot of the trim painted white to modernize it. I got the estimate today and he can do everything I want within my tiny budget! I can't believe it. This will save me so much time and money and make the house look great - all with just a little paint. I'm so excited!

I like Elijah's haircut. He gets it done at the BX. :)
