Our weekend

We had a pretty good weekend, with more activity than usual.

Saturday morning Sam actually let Brian and I sleep in until about 8 or so. Then we eventually got around to making these buttermilk waffles with awesome sauces, including strawberries and cream, walnuts and maple syrup and bananas in caramel sauce. Delicious! =)

Then we did lots of yard work, mostly moving our vast pile of pine needles to the front yard for pickup this week. We have 15 pine trees in our backyard and they make quite a mess. It took us more than an hour to haul all of it to the front.

Saturday night we had our good friend Cody over for dinner and I tried a new meatloaf recipe and it was surprisingly delicious and I think its my new meatloaf recipe. See my recipe section for it!

Sunday we finally got our butts to church and that evening Sam and I made homemade pizza. He did such a good job. I guess he's got to have some talent in the kitchen since both his parents do. (Brian made the waffles while I made the sauces).
