OK, so our plan had been to give up the pacifier on Sam's birthday last Saturday. The Thursday before, he decided he was ready. He puts them in a box we made and decorated and we left them outside for the "babies to pick up."
He handled it pretty well, definitely better than he did a year go when we tried. However, he has refused to take naps ever since. No nap for a week now. I'm so ready to do him harm.
He is so tired, he can barely keep up with his friends on the playground, stay awake in the car, or behave himself in the evenings. This morning he even slept in some because it's catching up to him. No amount of reasoning, conjoling, comforting or disciplining is making a difference.
I'm really hoping this ends soon and he goes back to a nap. It would be one thing if he didn't need it, but he's so tired all the time!
There was no real point to this post other than to complain. Unless someone has some ideas that don't involve drugging him. =)
