Visit from Uncle Cliff

Sam finally got to meet his uncle, or my "brother from another mother", our best friend Cliff. We've been friends since high school and he's one of my closest friends. He was in the Air Force for ten years, and married a fantastic woman who is still in the Air Force, and they tend to live on the other side of the country. So we never see them! I believe it had been six years since we last saw each other. He got to visit us while moving to the D.C. area to take a polygrapher job with the Department of Homeland Security (he used to do some scary undercover cop work, glad he'll be a little safer now!)
To totally embarass him, I'm putting up pictures of our high school days. =)
Brian and Cliff at prom.
Graduation Day

And some I took this past week.
We're talking to Cliff's wife Vina via speaker phone. We still haven't gotten to meet her yet. =(

Right before we started playing Rockband for, like, three hours. It was awesome!
More crazy pictures

Playing with foam.

Sam was quite demanding, telling Cliff what to make him.

Getting a ride from Uncle Cliff.
Hopefully it won't be another six years! And next time, bring Vina! Then we'll have a whole band. =)

I, too, have a male friend of long standing--since my teen years--and even though he's 82 and has cancer, we still keep in touch. They're priceless.

Cliff hasn't changed much at all! Glad you got a chance to catch up face-to-face. Looks like you all had a great time!

I've gotten to meet Vina! It was so nice when they showed up at my Basic Training graduation, I just wish we could have spent more time together. Maybe we can syncronize our visits next time :)
