The Mountain Vacation

So sorry this took so long. Getting pictures from three different cameras is hard. And this still isn't everything, because my Dad is lazy and won't share!!! - hint hint, Dad.
So, these pictures are probably completely out of order and random, but its such a pain to organize them on this blog, I'm just going down the line, so bear with me.
OK, so we vacationed at a friend's cabin in Tryon, NC, right on the border with S.C. We had such a blast and it was such a good time of talking, eating, and playing, and lots of resting. Perfect vacation, really, even with three kids ages 6, 3 and 2.
Sam got a much-needed haircut while we were there. The before and after.

Aunt Page brought capes for all the boys, and of course it was a huge hit!

Swimming in the awesome lake. It was right in the backyard of the house, so we would paddle boat over there and bring a picnic and just swim.

More capes. Cousins are awesome!

One morning we went "hiking" up to a local water fall. Gorgeous. And thanks to the influence of Uncle Tony, who does parkour, the kids, and to be honest, most of us adults, started rock climbing and jumping all over the place. It was fun!

On the first day we were all there, everyone but Mom and I hit the water. It started pouring down rain, which was funny. The tree cover was so thick over my head I took these pictures in a torrential downpour and didn't get but a few drops on me.

We all helped out with cooking dinners, stayed up WAY past bed time talking and catching up, and getting to spend time with my nephews was a real treat. I'm so blessed to have such a great family. I love you, guys!
Oh, and Sam has since had his hair cut even shorter by me, and it looks atrocious. Pictures to follow.
Brian is doing well. He's moved up to his new location, taken command, and as of today, is finally living with a real roof over his head and a real bed. Woohoo!
