So, the move went fairly well, I must say. Nothing too precious broke, schedules worked out great, and though I got the flu two days before we left town, it didn't hit me nearly as bad as the last time I got it. The kids suffered, but they won't remember it anyway - mwuahahaha.
We're still unpacking some, but most of it got done quickly. The hardest part was fitting 2,000 square feet of stuff into 1,400 square feet of space. Looks like we're going to have to get rid of the new guest bed I just bought. We purged before the move, but still had to purge afterwards as well. And yet I LOVE simplifying my life. After living at Rucker I asked Brian that we move into a smaller home from now on, and he vetoed it and bought the biggest house we've lived in yet. I think I will fight harder next time, because it's so nice having less space to maintain and less stuff to keep up with. It feels like a family home!
Brian is about finished with a course to teach him how to teach. Then in a few weeks he will go through the very course he will be teaching as a student. THEN he finally gets to start the job he came here for. Needless to say, he's not happy with the delays and waiting, and already the job of teaching is starting to sound ridiculously unexciting considering his last job. Pray for him and us as we will likely hear nothing but complaints for the next two years. :)
We're meeting neighbors and Sam is finding friends, but I leave the house about once a week and so far my social life is almost non existent. A lot of people we're meeting are on their way out, so I'm praying for great neighbors and babysitters to move in around us! Also found out some old friends from Bragg are moving here in July, so I'm looking forward to that.
Here are some pictures from the past few weeks - I actually got my camera out every once in a while. Sam turned 5 just before we left, Ben is now 4 months and Elizabeth will be celebrating the big ONE in two weeks!
These are pictures I took of Sam's birthday celebration day. His haul from the used bookstore

Thanx for update, I've been wondering how the move went. I'm not sure about Ga, either, but there are much worse places, and at least you're still in the south. I'm proud of Brian's accomplishments and know it's hard for him to put on the skids but tell him to enjoy the lull before the storm. He'll have at least two years to do the job he came to do. The kids are precious and growing so fast. You will make friends, and I hope you have a good babysitter close. Blessings to all. Mrs. A.
What's with all this Georgia hate? I love this state. Probably live here the rest of my life.
I would love to live in Georgia :( Then maybe my family would visit me...
