Graduation Day

Even though he still has a week left of school, Sam's pre-kindergarten class held their little graduation ceremony today. It was very simple, no cap and gown, but certificates and performances by the kids. It was really sweet. The teachers had created a video with provided photos of the families and dubbed the children's voices explaining why they loved their parents. Sam said "Because they're really in my heart." :)
I'm so very proud of my firstborn. You would never know he's only been attending this school since April! The school had a much tougher curriculum, higher expectations and far more structure than what he was used to, but he didn't even stumble. He took right up where his peers were, behaved in class and is really learning!
Summer is likely to fly by, and I hope I choose every day to cherish the time with him before "real" school starts. He's never been gone all day long before, and it will be a big change for everyone. I'm interested to see how much he matures in that year. He really is growing up! :(
Here are some pictures and video I took today. I hope you enjoy my big boy's graduation!
