Family and Friends

We recently had a whirlwind trip to Atlanta. The original plan was to attend Desi's first birthday, but when an old friend and her daughters wanted to come see us midway to a trip to the Georgia coast, it turned into even more fun! I spent the weekend managing kids and babies and it was exhausting, but a lot of fun. I got to see my nephew eye his cake with curiosity as Elizabeth showed him how to do it right - oops! I got to see my friend Amber and despite the five kids vying for our attention, get some good girl talk in, even if we had to do it in the hallway of the hotel munching on cookies from the hotel lobby. :)
I got to see my brother in law Joe for the first time in years and spend more time with my sister, which is never enough! I'm so thrilled they're close by. I just wish we could stay nearby longer! It was definitely a challenge doing all this without Brian, but it was a safer way to discover I really CAN'T do it by myself. I have been tempted many a time to try, but it'll be safer if I don't!
"This is how you do it!"

Oh, Kathie, thanks for the update and pics. Everyone looks so good, happy, and healthy, and the kids are growing so rapidly. Elizabeth is going to be able to take care of herself well growing up with all those boys. My Elizabeth has become very independent and assertive and she only had two brothers! Hope and pray Page and Joe will find much happiness and success in their new adventure. Give my love to her. Glad you're enjoying time with "old" friends. There's nothing more fun than kicking back and catching up--even with five distractions. Blessed distractions! Love to all of you, Mrs. A.
