All hail the night light

I wanted to take a picture of Sam with his night light for this post. Maybe I will add it later. But project night light is a resounding success. He's been asleep by 8:30 every night and even slept in until after 7:30 the first morning. Poor thing was probably making up for all the lost sleep. I'm going to make him go a week before I put the lamp back in his room. By then he should be used to the darker room. Woohoo!

On the bad news front, the Army has once again reared its ugly head into our adoption plans. Brian was scheduled to be gone for a short term deployment, getting home three days before our required adoption seminar. Now they are talking about moving the deployment back a week, so he will miss the seminar. The adoption agency requires us both to go before doing a home study and continuing with the adoption process. The next seminar isn't until April. This could put us back 6 months.
However, the unit is also considering cancelling the deployment all together, as it is proving to be hassle and is bumping up against a lot more trips in preparation for next year's full scale deployment.
God has already made it pretty obvious he is blessing this path we are on, so I've decided to just give it to Him. His timing is always perfect and if we are following his path, he will make things happen. So please pray for this situation for us. I'm so tired of the Army interferring with our adoption plans. Adoption is a long process even without these complications!

Just remember that sometimes delays and obstacles slow you down for a very important reason.

Another deployment? We'll keep your family in our prayers. Thanks for the kind words earlier.

So gald the night light is working out!

And hopefully they do cancel the stupid mission and Brian can go to the seminar. What agency are you guys using?

We do hope the deployment mission will be canceled so Brian can attend the adoption seminar. Try not to become discouraged, maybe God wants to see how badly you want this adoption. I can cite a case at Southside where a couple was on their way to pick up their baby and got word the birth mother had a change of heart. Not long after, they got a beautiful baby boy who looks just like his granddaddy. I know, I taught this child in Sunday School! Also remember the fella who got to the airport too late to catch his flight, and read in the paper the next day it had crashed. Yes, God's timing nor are His ways ours. We love you. Mrs. A.
