He woke me up at 6 a.m. Things were going well, despite his negative attitude. By 11 a.m. I had to put him in his room in a pull-up because I had had it. Then he actually napped after lunch and we went out to Target and dinner, and he tried twice in a public restroom! Then we get home, he plays in the nursery while I finish some last minute details. Mind you, he has been naked from the waste down since 8 a.m. Obviously not while we were in public. But anyway, I'm putting some things in the garage and he comes to the door and says "I did it! I peed in the potty!" and I was scared and doubtful. I thought I would find a toy in it, but no, while my back was turned, he went and did it all by himself! I screamed my head off and twirled him around while he laughed. Then he finally got to get a toy out of the Magic Toy Box. And then even though it was bedtime, we took the time to play with it. I'm so dang proud of him! Let's hope we can keep up this momentum. Thanks for the prayers, everyone, they worked!
Here are a few small videos I took of the day. Sorry, it wasn't very photogenic. And beware, there are naked toddler parts in it.
Also, here are some shots of the nursery coming together. I've had some real tugs at my heart strings while going through Sam's old stuff and getting ready for a new baby. I got SO excited looking at the crib and imaging a new little cherubic face smiling up at me. I don't even care if that face is screwed up in tears because its hungry, I can't wait to fulfill that need. I've been wanting this for so long and I'm so thrilled it will happen one day. God is so good!
When we moved in it looked like this:
A paint job, some organizing and some reconstructing later and....
Can you believe this hat used to be the only one that was small enough to fit his head when he was born?
He's a big boy now!

Yay, SAM!!! We are so proud of you! You ARE a big boy now--keep up the good work! And good work, Kathie--the nursery looks much better than the last time we slept on the air mattress in it.
Love you!
Mom
Great Job -- both of you!
I'm so proud of Sam! I can't wait to see him in just a few weeks! And I love the nursery. You stole my paint scheme but now at least I know it will look good :)
