One week down

The majority of this week has gone really well. Lots of time with friends, lots of stuff to keep me busy. Lots of patience with Sam. The last two days he's been especially whiny and I can feel my patience draining. Now I'm wondering how to refresh it. Mmmmm....
Brian is doing OK. He's fairly miserable and bored at the moment. But able to call home every couple days and recently got some internet connection, nothing enough for a web cam, but I'm happy he has it at all. Pray for his safety and his morale, and definitely for some decent sleep.
My mom is already planning a visit and I have two out of town trips planned this month. I'm building a desk and doing some landscaping. All kinds of neat projects to keep me busy.
I can tell I'm doing well with the stress because my garage door opener broke and I've got guys cleaning and sealing my deck (and its tough work - no one has ever sealed or cleaned this thing since it was built) and I haven't lost my mind yet. =) I also stepped in cat puke this morning. Still sane.
I will definitely post pics of the deck when it's done.
I was able to play Sam a CD of Brian reading stories to him. He absolutely loves it. He's entranced every time he listens to it. It's so sweet, and sad at the same time. He calls the CD his "Daddy songs."
I'm spending the weekend doing volunteer training. So there still may be no pics or video of Sam, sorry! Hopefully next time I'll have something more interesting to post.
