Date Night

So the church that Sam goes to preschool at offered a parents' night out and we took advantage of it. It was 5 hours for $15. We didn't even know what to do for 5 whole hours by ourselves! So we grabbed some dinner at Beef 'O' Brady's, hit Wal-Mart and bought Rockband 2. Went home, played it for two hours until I couldn't lift the drumsticks anymore, and then hit Krispy Kreme for some melt-in-your-mouth hot fresh donuts, and picked Sam up right before 10. =) We had a blast. And so did Sam, who was covered in popsicle drippings and had no interest in leaving his new "friends."

On another, much more important note, my good friend Stephanie and her husband Dan (their son Caleb was in Sam's co-op since they were 10-months-old) have been trying to adopt through the same agency as us and they just got a new baby yesterday! They had less than a week's notice before baby Luke joined their family. We're so happy for them. It's all so exciting and I can't wait for it to be our turn. What a blessing!

P.S. I just switched my blog to private, so I had to send out invitations. If you're having trouble viewing this, let me know, and I'll see what I can do!

You got Rock Band 2? If I weren't so busy I'd offer my lead singer services. :) Glad you guys had a good night out.

And I am SO thrilled for Stephanie and Dan.... and yes, it will be YOUR turn next!!! Woooo!!

Hey!!

You had 5 hours without the kid and you didn't know what to do so you played computer games!

I am embarrassed. You haven't been married that long.
