Get the sword! Get the sword!

So way back in the 80s my parents took the three of us to see the latest Disney movie, The Black Cauldron. It turned out to be the single biggest failure in Disney movie history, but we liked it. Especially my brother, who during an especially tense moment stood up in his seat and at the top of his lungs yelled into the silent theater..."Get the sword! Get the sword!" At least they laughed, and didn't curse or throw things.
So when I saw the VHS tape on the table at the yard sale, I had to get it. Sam loves it, of course. Prefers it to Disney's Robinhood, which we're none too happy about. It's the best Robinhood ever. Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally, Golly, what a day!
Random video of Sam playing with his good friend Bryce.

Meanwhile, I took him to a speech therapist for an evaluation Thursday. I noticed he had the same lisp my siblings and I had when we were little. We all went to therapy for it when we were a bit older, but I decided to nip it in the bud now. Interestingly, he introduced himself twice at the office as "Sammie." I had no idea he even liked it when I called him that. Anyway, long story short, he's going to be going to therapy now about once a week for 6 months, presuming he needs that much therapy. Mommy's thoughts: He won't need anywhere near that much. He'll pick it up quickly and we'll be out of there in 8 sessions or less. =) She did mention he was "cognitively advanced" or something like that. She was impressed with his vocabulary and said he looked great. It's always nice to hear. =)
Also, he has made himself quite a reputation at preschool as a "helper." He's one of the first to respond to the call and responds often. He was only one of three students who got a sticker on Friday. Sniff sniff. I'm so proud. I must be doing something right.

Of COURSE you're doing something right!

Hey, what's the green dragon looking thing at the beginning of the Black Cauldron video?

Love you lots! Mom

LOL. I knew the dragon still would get people wondering. I'll post that video soon. My editing program is messed up and won't let me cut up videos cleanly anymore. Sorry you got a sneak peak. =)

Oh yeah! Get rid of the horrible lisp! Nip it in the bud fast! No one will like him if he has a lisp! Everyone will think he's dumb and ugly!!

I HATE YOU ALL!!

*runs away sobbing*
