What a day

You know your morning is starting off bad when your kid walks into your bedroom and says "Mama, I pooped!" Long story short, Sam's pajamas are in the trash, his bathtub had to be bleached clean after hosing him down, and I had to scrub the carpet. All before coffee. Not good.

Also, we got our package from Bethany, which is our next step in the adoption process. It's pretty overwhelming to look at an inch-a-half tall stack of paperwork and realize you have to fill all that out. Background checks, physicals, financial assessments, statements of faith and questionairres that involve a lot of soul searching. Sigh. I'm glad for our future child's sake that they're being so thorough and hope they're being as thorough on the other end as well!

Sam got in trouble at school yesterday, AGAIN, and Brian is sick now, too. Waaaaahhhh!

OK, enough pity partying for me.

Lately the moon has been coming up in conversations with Sam. We're teaching him what it is - "It comes out at night, like the sun does during the day" - and teaching him to say moon. He hasn't gotten it yet. He pointed to a picture of the moon the other day and said "Night sun." LOL So cute.
