I've been working NON-STOP on it since last Wednesday, almost a week now. I'm exhausted and with Mom and Sam in Greensboro, I'm taking the day off. And as an extra gift, the weather is like fall, my favorite season. God loves me.
There is still painting to be done, detail work, and arguing with my horrible property manager. The house will be teeming with painters, contractors, lawn boys and plumbers tomorrow, as well as my friend Jinette and I in there painting away. I feel like the house is going to look brand new, in spite of its 31 years. I sure hope the home-buyers think so!
I'm trying to get all the work done by Friday so it can be on the market for the long holiday weekend. Please keep my energy and patience in your prayers, and that this house sells quickly and for a good price!
Sam has his open house on Thursday and school starts next week. I have my surgical consult for my ovary Friday morning as well. There is NO such thing as boring in this house right now.
Meanwhile, Brian is having a rough week with aircraft setting themselves on fire and there are never enough parts. However, he called me from "The Roughneck Cafe" yesterday and was thoroughly enjoying himself. The guys have set up a little relaxation area with chairs, Christmas lights and even speakers for music. I've asked Brian to send pictures so we can see it. Meanwhile, I'll go ahead and post these pictures. I just realized I haven't posted any of the pictures Brian has sent me! These are pictures of his change of command ceremony, his room and his "office." He looks so handsome in those change of command pictures. I wish I could have been there. Sniff sniff. I'm so proud of you, baby!
His office
Shots of his room. His bed/desk/home theater.
He has set up this piece of wood to hold his laptop or strap up to his bunk when not in use.
That flag is from his days in B Troop during the last deployment. Once a Bootlegger, always a bootlegger.

Aww, wish we ALL could have been there for his change of command! GO Brian!
Good luck with the house, I'm sure it will sell fast!!!!
PS. When you say "fire".... there wasn't actually any flames. You just got my hubby in trouble, heh heh.
LOL! I thought of you when I put that in there. I was like, "I hope Kryste doesn't think the aircraft was in flames in mid-air." LOL. Sorry. =) If I haven't said it before, rarely should I be taken seriously on this blog!
I guess Brian got the Christmas Lights I sent him?
What? And he didn't write you a long e-mail telling you how much he liked them? NO!
