I have developed a hobby of cooking. I get to do it every night of the week, so I'm getting pretty good. =) Love her or hate her, I was inspired by Rachael Ray. I liked her no nonsense, no measuring, 30-minutes-or-less way of cooking. She also taught me I could make it just as easily and cheaper than if I bought the packaged version. And its always healthier when you make it at home!
So, since I love to cook I realized I should share my recipes with you guys! At home I have "my other bible" full of my recipes. I'm going to keep a recipe of the week down at the bottom of my blog. To make sure it doesn't get lost, I'm changing my blog to show only one post at a time. Sometimes I will write several in one day, so check to make sure you haven't missed anything.
As soon as I can I'm going to try and get some video of Sammie up here. My editing program has been on the fritz. Oh yeah, and we moved and flooded our house.
Speaking of the flood, we met with the foreman today. They're not planning to finish until the 14th of July!! A month! And tomorrow will be two weeks since the flood. They're not even going to start doing anything significant until the week after next. But we really like the company we're working with. We met the foreman, the foreman's boss, the foreman's boss's boss, and the painter today. Bunch of nice guys, really concerned about keeping us happy and the communication lines open. I think this will go smoothly. Whoops. Now it won't because I said that.
On a totally unrelated note, I've been catching up with my Time magazine reading and the news this week. I'm kind of bummed this presidential race has come down to man vs. man again. It's always men duking it out for the presidency. Whether you liked her or not, it was nice to see a female face and voice in the campaign. It almost seems anti-climactic now.
